This is what we collect, why, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop. Short version: your email, your images and your answers, used to write your guides and plan your trips — and nothing else. We don't sell anything about you, and nothing you give us is used to train AI models.
Who is responsible
The Feeling (thefeeling.space) is responsible for your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Write to hello@thefeeling.space about anything on this page.
What we collect
- Your email — the only account you have; there is no password. It's how we save your guides, recognise your membership and count your free city. Sign-in codes we email you expire after 15 minutes.
- Your images — the pins you upload. We read each one (palette, materials, mood) to understand your taste, and keep the images and their readings in Your eye, so the next city you curate starts from what we've already learned.
- Your answers — the questionnaire and your comforts: who you travel with, your pace, how you like to eat, sit and move.
- Your guides — kept so they appear under Saved and in your Agenda, with any places you heart or correct.
- Your trips — what you add to an Agenda: dates, notes, bookings, what to pack, and the looks you plan, including any photos you add to them.
- Payment — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card number. Stripe tells us your email, your subscription status and a customer reference.
- Usage — Vercel Analytics counts page views and a few events (a guide written, a checkout button pressed) without cookies and without identifying you. Our servers also log errors and timings so we can fix what breaks.
Why, and on what basis
- To provide the service you asked for — writing your guides, keeping Your eye, your Saved guides and your Agenda, and running your membership. This is necessary to perform our agreement with you.
- To keep it safe and working — limiting sign-in attempts, stopping abuse, and being alerted when a guide fails so we can fix it. This is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable service.
- To meet legal duties — keeping payment and tax records as the law requires.
Who processes it for us
- Anthropic — the AI that reads your images and writes your guide. Your images and answers are sent to it for that purpose only, through Vercel's AI Gateway, and are not used to train its models.
- Vercel — hosts the site and stores your account, images, guides and trips.
- Stripe — payments, subscriptions, invoices and refunds.
- Resend — sends the sign-in codes to your email.
- Google and Open-Meteo — we check places against Google's data when building our catalogue, and fetch the forecast for your trip's city and dates. Nothing about you is sent to either.
Some of these companies are in the United States. Where your data leaves the EU, it is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Your account, Your eye, your guides and your trips — until you delete them.
- Your images — until you forget them in Your eye or delete your account.
- A spare copy of each guide, kept so you can collect it if your connection drops while it's being written — 14 days.
- Sign-in codes — 15 minutes.
- Payment and invoice records — as long as tax law requires, usually up to ten years.
Deleting it yourself
In Your eye you can forget your images — the images themselves are deleted, not just hidden — or delete everything: your images, readings, guides and trips are removed from our storage at once, and the spare guide copies expire within 14 days. Our processors then delete their own copies on their usual schedules. You can also simply write to us.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, receive it in a portable form, or object to or restrict how we use it. Write to hello@thefeeling.space from the email you use with us, and we'll answer within a month. You can also complain to a data protection authority — ours is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, or you can go to the one where you live.
Automated writing
Your guides are written automatically from your images and answers. That shapes which places we suggest; it never decides anything with legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses your browser's own storage to remember your email, your session and your saved guides on your device. No advertising cookies, and no tracking across other sites.
Children
The service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site and update the date above.
